About HardHat Quote
HardHat Quote is a small, independent product built and run by Nolan. It gives contractors and home service businesses free estimate, quote, bid and invoice templates they can fill in online and download as a PDF, plus an optional Pro plan for online approvals and one-click invoicing.
Why does HardHat Quote exist?
Most small trade businesses still price jobs in a spreadsheet, a notes app or on paper. Big field-service suites are powerful but expensive and slow to learn. HardHat Quote aims to be the fastest way to send a clean, itemized price to a customer and get it approved.
How are the templates written?
Each trade template starts with line items that are typical for that kind of work, so you only change the numbers. Sample prices are for illustration only. Where a rule or regulation is relevant — such as EPA lead-safe certification for work on pre-1978 homes or written-estimate rules for auto repair — the page links to the official source so you can check the details for your state.
